This roll was significant to me because it was the first roll I ever shot with an SLR. I had just gotten the Canon 85mm f1.8 and was hooked on shallow DOF. I didn’t know anything about the exposure triangle, framing, etc. I set it on Av and f1.8 and just went to town. I didn’t learn about negative space, filling the frame, and overall interesting compositions until I started to shoot weddings several years later.
Unknowingly, these were also the last photos that I would ever get to take of my dad, grandma, and two dogs: Snow and Phudo.
